This time last year if you asked me to go for a cycle I would have said something along the lines of ” I don’t really like cycling” the same goes for running.
But last summer I decided to go to dingle with someone of the absolute crew to do an adventure race, the night before myself and Dave went out for a cycle to suss out the route, it was awful!
I was no sooner on the bike and I confirmed the negative feelings I had about cycling.
The following day we did the race and after running 5k across a beach I realised that cycling wasn’t all that bad 😂😂
Fast forward 6 months and I go out cycling regularly and really enjoy it.
The thing about exercise is initially it can be really hard regardless of your fitness level and when something is hard it’s not always that pleasurable but if you persist and give it time it can completely change your view.
This is why we encourage people to become a member when they come absolute, give it a month and if you don’t love it after that then there’s no pressure to come back.
Not every relationship is love at first sight!
