If there’s one thing my clients are sick of me talking about, it’s consistency but it’s the single biggest downfall for most people.
Imagine you have to walk to Dublin in the morning, the key to actually making it all the way is to consistency put some miles in every day.
Some days you might jog, some you may walk very slowly but each day you may progress.
The difference with training is if you’re inconsistent you’re not only creating poor training habits but those couple of weeks you took off may set you back a few miles.
So how do you improve consistency?
Planning!
At the start of the week plan ahead, schedule all your training into your diary, book your classes, PT sessions or what ever it is you do.
And here’s the important part, be realistic.
If you have a really tough week ahead in work then just aim for a couple of sessions to tick all the boxes and keep you ticking over, the weeks where you have a lot more time and feel fresh maybe put in an extra session and push yourself a little more.
No two weeks are ever the same, you need to learn to ride the wave.
