Do it fast and it’s likely, it won’t last!

Do it fast and it’s likely, it won’t last!

I can see the appeal of going at it hard and fast when it comes to losing weight but like anything, unrealistic goals come with hard consequences!

Successfully implementing an aggressive style weight loss plan isn’t easy and it’s certainly not for everyone yet almost everyone tries to do it that way. “For every action there’s an equal and opposite reaction”

Everything you do has a knock on effect.

Eat very little – lack energy

Train too hard – lay on the couch more

Cut out carbs – binge on carbs

Cut out alcohol – be miserable 😂

The important thing to remember is if the changes you make change your body, those very changes will reverse if you can’t sustain them.
So what does a sustainable weight loss plan look like?

Well pretty much the same as your current diet with some subtle changes.

Make a few small changes that can easily be maintained. – increase fruit and veg intake
– prepare more of your meals at home
– reduce portion sizes
– stop eating once you’re full
– drink water before each meal
– eat slower
– reduce poor food choices
– reduce alcohol intake
– learn to say “no thank you”

You dont have to do them all but maybe 2 or 3 really stand out to you, maybe you have spotted and weakness and you say to yourself ” I can easily do that one” and maybe those small changes will help you sustain a realistic amount of weight loss.

Remember, the tortoise always beat the hare in the end!
